Shalom Valley | High School Camp 2026

03/01/2026

As persistent determination and constant schoolwork crowd each student's mind, a Logos High School retreat finally comes along to offer a place of rest and relaxation for students to recharge.

Shalom Valley acts as a restoring place where students come together and form deeper connections with friends, as well as take a breath and make time for themselves, but most importantly, they are there to strengthen their relationship with God.

Every morning before breakfast and every afternoon before dinner, teachers and students devote time to learn more about God through biblical topics that both honor and reflect His teachings.

When the bus arrives at the Shalom Valley camp in Kep, students are guided by an orientation to be informed of the rules and expectations. Students are then encouraged to explore and familiarize themselves with the Shalom Valley Camp property, including where they will sleep for the next three nights. Students from 9th to 10th grade slept in tents, while the 10th and 11th graders slept in dormitories.

Although the arrangement is different, the experience brought everyone closer. Sharing tents and dorms allows the students to bond with each other in a unique way. Regardless of where they slept, the sense of unity still remains throughout the retreat.

In addition to the spiritual growth, the retreat was filled with plenty of exciting activities. One of the most memorable activities of this trip is the obstacle course, this activity challenges our physical abilities, endurance and teamwork.

Each station requires students to believe in themselves and push through challenges without giving up since the consequence of not trying their best to overcome an obstacle would be falling down into a muddy pool. Alongside that, students were given the opportunity to spend time and have fun at the beach with friends, allowing them to grow closer through shared experiences.

As the camp days quickly turned into cherished memories, students packed their lunch and went on a bus back to Logos. The bus ride was greatly accompanied by chatter and laughter as each student felt closer to their connections. Students arrived back to Logos with newly attained knowledge and skills, connections, and overall self-development.
