Overview of Hullaballoo DAY 1

Stressed about the heavy workload from the recent back-to-school season? That's why Hullaballoo exists! This year, the Student Council prepared multiple Hullaballoo days spread out throughout the year to give students an opportunity to come together, collaborate, and build the school spirit of a Christian community. Additionally, it provides students with a small break from their studies to take a breath and reset.
In contrast to previous years, this event was organized by grade level rather than the school as a whole with the intention to promote higher participation levels among the students and strengthen connections between each homeroom class. Throughout the event, there were 4 game stations which the grade levels rotated through in 30-minute intervals. The games ranged from more physical activities such as Balls in the Basket to mental games like Jeopardy. As there was a wide variety of games, students were able to use their unique skills and talents to their advantage. For example, music lovers showcased their expertise in Finish the Lyrics. Meanwhile, 'Red Light, Green Light' offered a fun twist by utilizing water guns, which provided the students with a fun and refreshing game.
There was also a surprise teacher game that occurred within the 1-hour break students were provided. Both the heat and the energy were up during this competitive 'spicy ramen challenge.' Sokan Han, a junior at Logos, shares,

"All the games this year were very fun and engaging, especially the spicy Buldak ramen challenge. We all laughed and cheered on the teachers who were on our Hullabaloo team!"
Senior Sokmean Kouch adds,
"The highlight of Hullabaloo Day for me was getting to play with my friends and spend quality time together, while collaborating with everyone in order to win points for my team. I was very excited as everyone got competitive."
After a full day of dedication to both physical and mental games, Luscinia took the lead with 66 points, followed closely by Viridis with 61 points, and Stelleri in third. All in all, the new system posed by the Student Council was really impactful, providing the break that the students needed.
Looking ahead, students also shared some suggestions for improvement in the next Hullabaloo.

"Next year, I would hope that we have easier Jeopardy questions and easier songs for guessing the lyrics game,"
- Vatanak Chen (G8)

"Something that can be improved is giving out free cold drinks or popsicles as the day gets hot and everyone is sweating. Cold popsicles can also be sold."
- Sombo Kouch (G11)
This day truly highlighted how the Logos community can work together in demonstrating collaboration, perseverance, and encouragement, all while serving God and celebrating with friends!
